Andy Clare, MS CCC-SLP CBIS, is a Clinical Educator at the GWU Department of Speech & Hearing Sciences.  He supervises graduate student clinicians during their rotations in the Acquired Neurological Disorders, and Fluency tracks. In addition, he acts as co-coordinator for graduate externship placements. Prior to working at The George Washington University, he worked in an acute, inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting, helping patients with a wide range of diagnoses including Stroke, and Traumatic Brain Injury. His areas of expertise include Dysphagia, Aphasia and Cognitive-Linguistic Disorders. A Gallaudet University alumnus, he is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), LSVT Loud clinician, and Compton PESL accent modification instructor. He has lived and worked in a variety of countries including the US, Ecuador, Japan, and his native England.
