Linda is a clinical educator at George Washington University in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Science in Washington, D.C. where she directs the graduate Clinical Transgender Voice Program and the Voice Disorders Clinic in the Speech and Hearing Center. Her unique programs provide private voice therapy and training, introductory voice training groups, vocal intensives, and generalization voice groups our clients.

She integrates mindfulness practices, yoga, positive psychology, emotional integration, hypnotherapy, Reiki, and a variety of other healing approaches into her therapy practice. Her awareness of the emotional, mental, social, spiritual, behavioral, and experiential factors and how they impact communication influences her approach in working with her clients and students alike.

Linda has been a voice specialist in transgender voice therapy, professional speaking training, and voice therapy for clients with voice disorders for 25 years. She has had extensive experience performing videostroboscopy, voice evaluations, voice therapy and training in a large otolaryngology practice, voice clinic, hospitals, university and private practice settings.

She is a co-author of the new Plural publication entitled,  Transforming Voice and Communication with Transgender and Gender Diverse People. An Evidence Based Process. 

Current Research

Research involving effectiveness of George Washington University Voice Clinic’s transgender voice therapy is ongoing. Interests include the integration of the use of relaxation techniques, meditation, positive psychology, visualization and imagination into traditional approaches to enhance effectiveness of voice training and therapy.
