She is the owner and founder of Voz Speech Therapy, the only fully bilingual private practice located in Washington, DC. Dr. Jaramillo graduated in 2022 with her Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where she successfully defended her research on the implementation of a psycho-educational intervention dedicated to helping Latinx families with children with neurodevelopmental disorders increase health care literacy, access to medical services, and speech therapy outcomes. She graduated in 2013 with a Master of Science (MS) in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, and obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Child Psychology and Sociology from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. Dr. Jaramillo currently serves as an adjunct professor at The George Washington University where she teaches a course named Multicultural Issues in Human Communication and Autism. When she isn't treating patients, Dr. Jaramillo is actively speaking at local high schools and offering webinars on ways to diversify and combat racism in the field of speech-language pathology with her organization, DiverCity SLP. Fun fact: On the weekends, you can find Dr. Jaramillo running her and her husband's Tex-Mex breakfast taco shop in DC, La Tejana.
