Melanie-Joy H Dorn is a Speech Language Pathologist and Specialty Faculty Member at the GWU Department of Speech Language & Hearing Sciences. She teaches several graduate and undergraduate courses throughout the year -- Diagnostics, Foundations of Human Communication and Voice and Diction. She is the faculty advisor for GWU's chapter of The National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association and an advisor for undergraduates who concentrate their studies in communication disorders. Melanie is a certified LSVT/LOUD Clinician and Vocal Yoga Instructor. She is a member of The Parkinson's Foundation National Capital Area. When she is not on her mountain bike or teaching yoga she enjoys presenting and conducting research focused on group therapy for people with Parkinson's Disease.
