Andy Clare MS CCC-SLP CBIS, serves as the Assistant Director of Clinical Education and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Speech & Hearing Sciences at The George Washington University. Prior to working at GWU, he worked in an acute, inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting, helping patients with a wide range of diagnoses including Stroke, and Traumatic Brain Injury. His clinical areas of expertise include Dysphagia, Aphasia, Cognitive-Linguistic Disorders, and Aural Rehabilitation. He teaches classes in Dysphagia, Aural Rehabilitation and Clinical Methods for Speech-Language Pathology. His research interests center on refining clinical education processes for students and supervisors in Communication Sciences and Disorders. He currently serves as the chair of the Clinical Education Committee for the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CAPCSD).
