Melanie-Joy H Dorn is a Speech Language Pathologist and Special Faculty Member at the GWU Department of  Speech Language & Hearing Sciences.  She teaches several undergraduate courses throughout the year --  Neural Substrates for Speech and Hearing, Foundations of Human Communication and Voice and Diction. She is the faculty advisor for GWU's chapter of The National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association and an undergraduate advisor. Melanie is a certified LSVT/LOUD Clinician and Vocal Yoga Instructor. She is on the Board of Directors at The Stroke Comeback Center. She enjoys teaching yoga, knitting and working in her many gardens. Now that her three children have grown and are on their own she and her husband are raising 35+ goldfish, two koi, a congregation of frogs and a sweet rescue pup (Casey Jo).
