Jodi N. Kumar, M.S., CCC/SLP has been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist  for over 18 years. She has worked in a variety of settings (acute, inpatient, outpatient, and home and community) across the lifespan in both the U.S. and Canada. Areas of clinical interest include pediatric motor speech disorders and brain injury.

Since 2012, she has supervised the Speech Sounds Disorders Track at The George Washington University’s Speech and Hearing Center recently moving to supervision in the Pedactric Speech and Langauge Disorders Track. She is recognized for advanced training and clinical expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) by Apraxia Kids and is level- 2 PROMPT trained. While working at GWU, she developed the Childhood Apraxia and Motor Planning (CHAMP) Camp in 2012 to provide opportunities for intensive speech therapy, as well as, to supplement the clinical education of future SLPs regarding best practice for CAS. With the success of CHAMP, GWU's speech and hearing clinic has been able to offer services to children with CAS regionally, nationally, and internationally. She has presented about CHAMP both nationally (at the ASHA convention and the National Conference on Childhood Apraxia of Speech), in addition to, internationally at the International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics’ World Congress in 2016.
