Speech and Hearing Research at Nanjing Normal University for Disordered Mandarin Speakers

Join us to hear Dr. Wentao Gu Ph.D., as he discusses “Speech and Hearing Research at Nanjing Normal University for Disordered Mandarin Speakers”.  Dr. Gu will discuss the academic structure of Chinese universities and the role of linguistic research at Nanjing Normal University in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, China.

Participants who attend this session will learn about the research that examines tone and intonation perception by mandarin speaking children with cochlear implants in China. We will also learn about the effect of medication and deep brain stimulation on speech production in patients with Parkinson’s Disease.

Learning Objectives:

As a result of attending this lecture, participants will be able to:
